Both. It's always both. When it comes to Uncle Scrooge's enemies, he's not exactly a master genius. The only reason he's so unpredictable is because no one could ever think of ideas that dumb.

Oh, that's a whole other story. But the short version is, he lost his memory, so I was hoping he could have a chance at anew, happier life without his grudge against Scrooge. He was now a fisherman, with his own friends and community!
There was this big storm, and me and Louie found him struggling in the ocean waters, so we went out to save him from the waves. I reached out to help him up, and... he yanked me out of the boat so he could steal it for himself.
Oh, of course! Right away! You can always count on Louie! But it was a scary couple of seconds, that's for sure. Even a complete buffoon can be terrifying under the right circumstances.
Glomgold got his memory back and abandoned the happy life and community he had just so he could wage war against Scrooge again. If you ask me, that's also bad-weird.
I think that's bad-bad and kind of sad. If I had to guess, Glomgold's desire to beat your Uncle Scrooge has totes consumed him. Like, he might not know how to live without it or even be able to find joy and value in other pursuits.
You're a good girl for trying to help him, but it sounds like he made his decision a long time ago.
Yeah... [ a sad little sigh. ] I guess at the time, I figured since I helped someone turned over a new leaf once, I could do that to anyone. He sure proved me wrong.
Now Webby-chan, that isn't right! When it comes to helping people, you've got to respect not only their agency, but yours, too. The choice to fail or succeed was ultimately Glomgold's. You took him as far as you could and gave him the best chance.

[ She decides to make a bush her cover, quick to start rolling and create as much ammo as possible. Her aim is pretty good! Her strength is... a little terrifying, really, for her size and age. The cart may actually start creaking when Webby hits it. ]
[ That was fast! One might think that'd be discouraging, but to Nao, it's quite the opposite. She's rolling, rolling, rolling snowballs. She needs to be quick if she's going to have a chance to win this thing. ]

[ She calls. That the cart starts creaking, though... well, her healing magic can take care of bruises. It's not like they're growing daggers. ]
