Name: Webbigail "Webby" Vanderquack
Canon: Ducktales (2017).
Canon point: Post Season 2 Episode 6 "Last Christmas".
Age: Not officially stated, implied to be preteen/around 11.

Canon history: N/A.
History: Wiki!

Personality:

Energetic : Webby Vanderquack is a bundle of dynamite, in both positive and negative meanings of the expression. Because of her shut-in life, every experience is a new one and thus she gives 110% to everything she tries. Even the most mundane things like riding a bus for the first time is enough to fill her with happiness and wonder. But because of her severe lack of social skills, this enthusiasm can be dangerous and annoying (ignoring personal space despite obvious signs they want to left alone, and ripping out wires so she can hide in a machine without thinking of what said wires were for) It's just that she simply doesn't understand other people's mindsets, and needs to be taught.

Determined : It takes a LOT for Webby to give up on anything, no matter how dangerous the situation. Giving up feels a lot like defeat, and since she's been on plenty of adventures where it seemed like all hope was lost ONLY for someone (her, scrooge, the boys, etc) to save the day, she feels her mindset is reasonable. This can often land her in trouble when she's in over her head and doesn't see the real danger she's in. But on the other hand, it's this ray of hope that has encouraged other characters to keep on fighting. (Such as Lena using her magic to save Webby from a money-shark when Webby wouldn't give up on her. It's a weird show.) But it's not just adventure that gets this attitude - she also applies this to searching information and learning new things, finding new chapters and lost family histories to be equally exciting.

Caring : Despite being raised by a loving grandmother, Webby is starved for affection, and as a result she gives it easily. People she knew mere seconds ago can suddenly be her best friends, and she's willing to hide the "weirder" parts of her personality in order to appease them. (When she thought the triplets didn't like her, she tried to hide the fact she could easily untie them out of the kidnapping situation they were in.) When someone needs a hug or reassurance, she's first in line. (Comforting Dewey after a death trap, doing the same to Storkules as he enters an existential crises.) While she doesn't have much objection to a "violence first" approach, she would prefer a peaceful situation if possible. (Offering to train harpies instead of fighting them constantly. Also, one of her first idea's for things Louie's business could sell - "Free Hugs!") But she isn't naive enough to think it'll always work.

Knowledgeable : When Webby enjoys something or thinks it'll be useful for an upcoming situation, she will dive head-first into it. She loves to read and memorize, building graphs and charts, outlining family trees, so on and so forth. When she relays this knowledge, she doesn't see it as bragging, as she assumes everyone would be interested in the thing she's talking about. When she's confronted with a new fact about what she knows or discovers what she's studying is missing something, she's incredibly excited by this and can't wait to see what comes of it. Warning - if you ask her to explain something, she may never shut up, and ignore/be oblivious about the fact you nodded off about an hour ago.

Always Keep In Mind: Given Webby's chipper personality, almost every line she says should be in a happy tone, unless there's an obvious reason otherwise to not be cheerful. Also, knowledge and application are two different things - just because she's studied extensively on how to do something doesn't mean she'll master it instantly. (Example in the DT17 comic books - she was asked to join her friend's hockey team, and in so studied several hockey games and sports books. Two seconds on the ice and she fell flat on her face.) In other words, she's pretty amazing for a kid, but she's no Mary-Sue.

Questions:

What do you want to study at Diatu Magicademy?
Does "everything" count? I mean, come on, it's MAGIC! Who wouldn't want to know everything about it? Plus, I'm sure it'll really come in handy when I go back home and continue my adventures with Uncle Scrooge and everybody! ... Sure, he's not... the biggest fan of magic, but! He trusts me, so he'll trust what I can do! When can I start learning? Can I start learning now?

If you knew you could go back to the moment you left, would you leave immediately or continue your studies for a while?
Well... no offense to the school, but my Granny is probably super worried about me. I'd like to let her know I'm okay. And the boys, and Uncle Scrooge. It is my home, after all. But if I can find a way to go back and forth, I'm totally up for it! We could make it like a student exchange program, except with dragons and wands instead of politics.

If your enemy was at Diatu Magicademy, how would you react?
... I'd break every bone in her body.

... If you see, hear, or smell Magica De Spell here? DO NOT LET HER DO ANYTHING! You gotta stop her right away! She will be up to no good! SHE IS A REALLY BAD PERSON!

When is it acceptable to resolve a dispute by force?
When they're not giving you a choice. Sometimes people just don't want to listen, and they need some common sense kicked upside the head. Literally.

What should the supreme goal of any wizard be?
Using their magic to help people! What's the point of learning magic otherwise? Magic's a tool, and tools are supposed to make life easier than it was before. Like... a hammer! Sure, you could just bash your head against a nail, but that would take forever, and it'd hurt a lot. Magic is like the hammer getting the nail in faster and safer! ... Wait, can I change my answer to socket wrench?

Special Considerations

Your Special Something: Secret Knowledge.

Rank Your House Choice: Random.

Powers: While not being 100% established, it is implied that Webby could harness light/friendship magic if she had a proper conduit (like Lena.) If this is too vague, feel free to dismiss this.

Items: Night Vision Goggles - child-sized goggles that give her vision in dark places.
Grappling Hook - again, child-sized, able to let her shoot a roped-tied hook to high places.

Anything Else: Did I get the theme song stuck in your head?
